Prayer Shawl Ministry
Women and men from several churches in Le Sueur and Henderson knit or crochet large, cuddly shawls that are gathered at The Presbyterian Church. The person who knits the shawl and the group of knitters gathered at a Wooly Blessings meeting pray for the person who will receive the shawl. When someone in the community knows of a person in need of a tangible reminder of the prayers of Christian people, they are welcome to take one of the shawls to that person.

Some knitters and crocheters from the community meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month at The Presbyterian Church. Others donate items for the various ministries by leaving them at the church. Once a year the items are packaged and sent to the various ministries for distribution.

Don't know how to knit? Not a problem! Wooly Blessings knitters will be happy to teach you. You'll love it! And it really isn't hard. In fact, knitting a shawl is the perfect way to learn how to knit! Please feel free to join us.

A stash of yarn is kept at The Presbyterian Church for those who might need yarn for one of the Wooly Blessings projects.
